gotcha party!

we had our gotcha party this weekend and man was it fun. i'm tellin' yah...if you put a bouncy house outside... you need NO adult supervision for all the kids. it's like a big, fat, poofy babysitter... that you can JUMP on!! amazing! ;)

as part of the party you were supposed to dress up like your favorite superhero or make one up of your own. the kids and adults had fun dressing up. people are pretty creative.

("i'm VECTOR! i'm committing crime with both direction...and magnitude. oh yeah!")
leanna came as a supervillain because how can you have heroes without villains?
if you haven't ever seen despicable me, get on it. it's pretty darn cute.
PS: leanna DYED this track suit herself AND made this squid/piranha gun herself as well. handy dandy, huh?

i was supermom. i have no picture, but just picture me in an apron with an "M" on it.

we ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and ate copious amounts of cake. we gave away action figures and superhero silly bands as favors.

we had a great time and are so blessed to have friends and family who will celebrate with us!
we are even MORE blessed to be done with fostering for the time being. hip hip hooray! :0)

life here is a bit slower than usual. we are enjoying it.

the adoption party is coming up soon. gabe is registered for kindergarten. we've set up the pool in the back yard.
life is good.

summer is fast approaching and we're ready for trips to the beach and cookouts.

i have nothing to report. and THAT is exciting! :)

so since you guys have missed a year in pictures of ALL our children together, i thought i'd include some here. most are very out of date, but i thought you'd enjoy watching our boys grow.

it's all happening!

i'm back!

sorry i've been away so long! i have missed you guys!

so much has happened and instead of doing one post per special event, i'm going to be realistic and do one big whopping post. that way, you will actually be up-to-date.

here's a picture of judah's birthday. he asked for buzz lightyear cupcakes. say cheese!


on march 23, we adopted asher and judah into our forever family. it was a GREAT day! our family came to celebrate with us and we are now official! God has blessed us in ways i cannot believe! the same day, while in the courthouse, i received a call telling us we were under contract with our current home! yay only one mortgage!

the day after we adopted, we closed on our new home and started moving in. we found out at 10:07 we were closing at 10:30... God likes to teach us patience and faith. ;)

the boys now each have their own room and it is JUST as amazing and wonderfully stupendous as i had hoped! bedtime no longer lasts hours!

sunday was elijah's 3rd bday. we had a great lazy afternoon! he asked for a cookie cake. yum!
in a few weeks we will be having our gotcha party. people are coming dressed as their favorite superhero or making up one of their own. i will be supermom! stay tuned for pics on that one.
